I am a fully qualified and experienced Psychotherapist with a practice based in Sheffield, Islington and Hackney. I am accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and hold a Masters Degree in Core Process Psychotherapy from the Karuna Institute in Devon, one of the first trainings to integrate mindfulness practices into its approach. In addition to working privately as a Psychotherapist, until recently I also worked as the Assistant Director of The Centre for Better Health, a progressive mental health charity in Hackney.
My own background is in the fields of social care, mental health and contemplative practice. My work has been across a broad spectrum of third sector providers including homelessness charities and mental health providers. I have also spent many years studying and practicing within different contemplative traditions and am an assistant Zen teacher. I am interested in working with individuals who are engaged in the processes of following contemplative paths within the context of our ordinary, everyday lives, with all of the challenges this entails.
