I am a UKCP accredited Psychotherapist with an MA in Core Process Psychotherapy from the Karuna Institute in Devon, one of the first trainings to integrate mindfulness practices into its approach.
I first became interested in Buddhism and meditation nearly thirty years ago. At the same time I began to explore western approaches to health and well-being and trained in various modalities both in the UK and abroad. Eventually, I spent 8 years as an ordained monastic abroad before returning to the UK and beginning my training in Core Process Psychotherapy. I find the integration of the different traditions of meditative practice and western psychology particularly relevant to the issues we all face leading busy, complex lives.
In addition to working privately as a Psychotherapist, I also work as assistant director of The Centre for Better Health, a mental health charity in Hackney.
